Location this week is the WATSON'S, so head on over for 6:30 PM.
And an advance warning that next week is October 30, and will be a potluck
Sunday. So be prepared to eat spooky food!

Hello everyone,
Church this Sunday is going to be at the Thiessen's. So just head on out
there for 6:30 PM, will ya?
Funny thing is I, Simon, have the church bag. So if CJ or Barton need it,
they'll need to come and get it. Hmmm... I think I'll try calling you to
see if we can work out some sort of hand-over. (I'll work out the ransom
before I call)

In other news, I've had to add an "image confirmation" step to our blog
comments, because we started getting computer generated comments with links
to non-churchly sites. So now you will need to type a word into a field
(the word will be on the screen as an image so that the evil computer-bots will not be
able to recognize it) to be allowed to post comments. Just so you know, the
comments all end up in my email box, so anything innapropriate will get
eliminated immediately!

A third item (I'm getting long winded here...) - Google has landed! You
will find us by searching Google now, but not in the way you thought you
would. For SOME REASON, the best combination of search words is "Wendolyn
Schlamp" which will get our blog to within the top 10 results. "Mennonites
in St. John's" doesn't work, nor does "Mennonites in Newfoundland" or
"Newfoundland Mennonites." Of course, putting in "Mennonite House Church in
St. John's" gets us up there at #1, but you'd have to know we were there to
find that!

Hi all,
Just to let you know that House Church is at Ian and Shari Watson's house
this Sunday, October 9. (Would you believe that I still start to type
August when I write the date...?) It is supposed to be planned by Judith and
Simon. Judith will be in symphony rehearsal that night, and Simon's band
may have a gig... so it may be a short service! Be prepared. But I don't
actually know what the band thing is going to be, so let's not jump to
conclusions yet.
